Walk-in Closet Makeover | Transform Your Closet into a Luxurious Space

Have you ever envisioned your dream closet? Well there is no need to go out a buy a new home. I will give an easy way to transform your walk in closet into a beautiful and luxurious space. If you are looking for a more functional closet space this walk-in closet makeover is a must see. See how I was able to turn my crowded disorganized closet into an open dressing area with lots of storage and style.

    Planning the Transformation

When, I initially got the vision of how I wanted to transform this hideous Her’s master closet (before pics below) into my dream closet, I thought I would go online and shop for all the different pieces and install them ourselves. However, after we calculated the time it took to measure the space and configure the areas to my liking. I made the decision to have a professional come out and do the installation. I really wanted the closet finished before my birthday, so professional installation was the best choice. The easy way is to hire installers LOL! I’m so glad we did!

    Before

    The demolition process

The professional installers came and removed all the existing shelving units in the closet. I’m not going lie! Once those shelves were removed, I got realllllll NERVOUS! Can you say shook? The walls were terrible! The space had holes and busted drywall everywhere. *Insert me pouting* After, the shelves were carefully removed, the closet space then received repairs to the drywall and a fresh coat of paint. I instantly started to feel better.

    After

Once the paint was dry the installers came back in to install the custom closet unit that I designed. The installation was finally complete. Then the decorating fun began!!! We changed out the ugly light fixture with a beautiful crystal chandelier. Next, I changed the hangers on all of the clothes. Then, used the custom drawer organizers in each drawer. Lastly, I added a vase with flowers, wall art, a luxurious sunglass tray and a necklace stand to give the closet a boutique feel. You can purchase all the items I used for this transformation here.

Finally, the walk-in closet transformation was complete! Can you believe we totally transformed the space in just a day? I can’t either. But I am so happy we did because I love my new luxurious walk in closet. Before, I wouldn’t have even considered it a closet, it was just a deep and cluttered closet. Now it’s an open and very luxurious walk in closet with room for me to actually change in it. This is exactly what I had envisioned for the perfect Her’s master bedroom closet.

My favorite part of about closet is EVERYTHING! The glass cabinets for my handbags, belt rack, scarf rack, valet, shelves for my shoes, custom trays for my jewelry and a hamper for the dirty clothes are all exactly what I envisioned. I have so many clothes so I needed a beautiful space to keep my wardrobe. Let me know if you ever thought about a closet makeover or have transformed your Her’s master closet into the closet of your dreams. • 3 Weight Loss Hacks that Actually Work

3 Weight Loss Hacks that Actually Work

How you can lose weight with hacks that actually work! My fitness journey goes like this… I was SKINNY my entire life. Even after childbirth I could eat the entire fridge and still be FINE. I live an active lifestyle because I’m in the Air Force but packed on some pounds after I injured my ankle and a whole lot of boo’ing up.

During the holidays I attended a couples holiday vision board party. At the party a few of us gathered to take a picture. Afterwards I looked at that picture and was disappointed at the way I looked. I was looking like I ate the whole Thanksgiving turkey by myself *insert shocked face*.

Weight loss wasn’t on my vision board but after that night I told myself that I wanted to start looking HAWT again!!! I want to have the time of my life without me being out of shape and hating the way I looked in photos.

Initially my goal was to lose 10 lbs. Well I hit that goal and some. Now I’m pushing for some abs (At least 2 LOL!). In January 2020, I was 161 pounds looking like jelly cause jam don’t shake like that. April 2020 I was 144 pounds losing over 17 pounds. I was so excited. Currently (July 2020) I’m 148 pounds but as you can see from the pic I’m building more muscle and muscle weighs more than fat. One major key to documenting your weight loss journey is to take progress photos so you can see your progress. Looking at the scale can be very discouraging.

Below are the 3 most important things I did to get results. If you’re looking for magic then stop reading now.

    Tip #1: Consistency

If you want to see results with anything in life you have to be CONSISTENT. Taking a walk around the block for one week will not cut it folks. You have to stick to it for at least 30 days.

    Tip #2: Commitment

You have to COMMIT to doing the work. Even if you miss a few days commit to getting back to your goals. Your spouse or your kids can’t do the work for you. It’s your temple so commit to taking care of yourself.

    Tip #3: Accountability

Find someone to hold you accountable. A hype man or woman basically. My Beau will always be my hype man. When the gym was open we would workout together. However, your accountability partner doesn’t have to be in your city. My biggest accountability partner was my cousin and she lives alllllll the way in Michigan. We chat with each other all the time about our wins, slip ups and progress.

    Additional Important Tips

Below are the detailed things I did to lose weight on my journey:

FOOD – I eat about 3 meals per day and 2 healthy snacks. Grab your free meal plan HERE. I’m not a fan of fried foods but snacking was my weakness. You should also drink at least 32 ounces of water daily. You will notice how much more you will lose when you drink an adequate amount of water.

EXERCISE – I exercise 3-5 times per week for at least 30 minutes. I have a gym membership but since COVID-19 shut down our gym I’ve been working out at home. Save your coins Chile! YouTube is your best friend for workouts. Just search for your skill level (ex. Beginner HIIT workouts). I also jump rope. Grab yours HERE.

SUPPLEMENTS – I took TLC products – Detox Kit. You can grab your weight loss solution kit HERE. It includes Detox Tea, Nutraburst and Resolution drops. I’ll be the first to say I was skeptical at first but these products really work.

Remember that everyone’s body is different. Build eating habits and workouts that suit your lifestyle but most of don’t give up.

How to remodel a Bathroom in one day (It’s Budget Friendly)

    Affordable Bathroom remodel

Want to know how to transform or remodel your bathroom in one day that’s also budget friendly? Keep reading to see how we transformed our bathroom’s toilet room from a boring mess to this bright and cozy toilet room with a plank accent wall.

    Transformation Idea

Being at home during a pandemic will give you time to brainstorm and ways to transform your home. Before, our bathroom toilet room was crappy (pun intended).

    Before the Bathroom remodel

When I say crappy I don’t mean poop on the wall. However, the room was dark and gloomy and nothing special but a place to do your DOOTY. It needed some character. Some TLC and a little “L” Family pizazz.

I was tired of looking at those boring bland walls in the toilet room and wanted a refresh.

    Bathroom Remodel Details

Thanks to Urban Decor for gifting us these easy to install wall planks, I got this bright idea to give this room a refresh with an accent wall.

We prepped and cleaned the walls for painting. Then we painted the walls using Sherwin Williams Repose Gray. We painted all walls except the wall that would be the accent wall. Next, we installed the peel and stick planks. Then added the shelves. We also purchased a new toilet seat from Lowes and lastly added the decor.

Below are all the details of what we used to complete this budget friendly bathroom remodel.
