    Stylish Costa Rica Vacay Outfits

Whewww! Let me tell you, Costa Rica did not come to play, and neither did I when it came to these Costa Rica vacay outfits! After sharing my birthday trip recap in my Best Wellness Resort in Costa Rica blog post, I have to share what I wore?” You know your girl had to bring that LoveLeeToya style even while hiking and sipping smoothies poolside.

Here’s a breakdown of everything I wore for my week in paradise, from slow mornings at the spa to scenic hikes and luxe dinners under the stars. Keep scrolling for feminine, comfortable, and effortlessly elevated vacation looks.

    ✨Sightseeing Chic Outfits

Costa Rica is full of hidden gems, so comfy yet cute was the name of the game. For exploring local towns and grabbing fresh fruit at the market, I wore a lightweight linen dress in terracotta. It was breezy, breathable, and timeless. Paired it with raffia sandals and my straw hat (yes, the one I always bring on vacay).

Pro tip: Neutral colors are your best friend while traveling. They mix and match like a dream and always look put together.

    ☀️Poolside Day

You already know the poolside content was givinggg! I wore a Kelly-green two-piece swimsuit with gold ring details that hugged all the right places. I threw on black sheer cover-up pants, a printed head scarf and some oversized sunnies for that luxe, feminine touch.

    🧖🏽‍♀️Spa Day

For my spa day, I stayed comfy in a soft crochet fringe dress in bright white. It gave “rich auntie on a wellness retreat” and that’s exactly the vibe I was going for.

    🌴Beach Babe Energy

I’m a beach girl through and through, so I had to bring options. My fave was a bright orange monokini paired with a matching pants. I added a matching scarf for an effortlessly elevated beach look.

Also brought a cream maxi dress to throw on after the waves for a seaside lunch. The open-back detail? Chef’s kiss.

    🧘🏾‍♀️Yoga Flows

Early morning yoga with the jungle soundtrack in the background was a spiritual experience. I wore lots of activewear sets, and my favorite was these skirt-looking activewear shorts in a sage green shade paired with a white built-in bra tank. It’s soft, supportive, and doesn’t roll down mid-sun salutation.

    🥾Hiking with Style

We hiked to the world famous Haceinda La Chimba and yes, it was giving Tomb Raider, but make it cute. I wore a grey biker short set while hiking, a white baseball cap, and an oversized button-up tied at the waist. My hiking boots were sturdy and cute (praise report).

Once we made it to the top, I changed into a lovely tiered maxi dress, slicked my hair back, threw on a straw hat, tinted SPF, and felt both strong and stylish.

Pro tip: Take a foldable backpack with a change of clothes so you can take photos along the trail.

    🍽️Dinner & Golden Hour

Dinner time = glam time. One of my favorite outfits was a red balloon skirt and a white button-front vest. I paired it with strappy heels, gold teardrop earrings, and my Coach Pillow Tabby. The look was bright and vibrant, and it looked beautiful when photographed during dinner. The guests at the resort were like, “You look so lovely!” and they were right.

Another night, I wore a floral wrap dress that gave “soft and sophisticated,” perfect for a quiet dinner by the fire pit.

    💆🏾‍♀️Spa Treatments & Self-Care

For massages and slow mornings, sipping tea on my balcony, I kept it cozy but cute. Think matching loungewear, workout sets, and a silk headwrap. The resort provided us with 100% organic cotton plush robes, which provided a feeling of extra self-care.

Finally, if there’s one thing I’ve learned from traveling, it’s that you don’t have to sacrifice style for comfort. Everything I packed for Costa Rica was aligned with my CALM life (Confident, Aligned, Luxurious, and Mindful). Shop all my looks HERE.

  • 6 Things to Do Before Buying New Clothes

6 Things to Do Before Buying New Clothes

Spring is just around the corner, and with the change of season comes the urge to refresh your wardrobe. But before you dive into shopping for the latest trends, and refresh your current wardrobe take a moment to evaluate your current wardrobe and make intentional choices. These six steps will help you shop smarter and build a collection of pieces you truly love.

    1. Audit Your Current Wardrobe

Take inventory of what you already own. Pull everything out of your closet and evaluate what you wear often, what you love, and what’s just taking up space. This step can reveal hidden gems you’ve forgotten about and help you identify gaps in your wardrobe.

Pro Tip: Use the “one-year rule”—if you haven’t worn it in the past year, it’s time to let it go.

    2. Define Your Personal Style

Are you into timeless classics, bold statement pieces, or a mix of both? Having clarity on your personal style helps you shop with intention and avoid impulse purchases that don’t align with your aesthetic. Take some time to create a mood board on Pinterest or scroll through Instagram to find styles that resonate with you.

Pro Tip: Stick to pieces that feel like you—not just what’s trending.

    3. Set a Budget

Before you hit the checkout button, set a clear spending limit. This prevents buyer’s remorse and ensures your purchases align with your financial goals. You don’t need to splurge to look fabulous—stylish doesn’t have to mean expensive.

Pro Tip: Focus on quality over quantity. A well-made piece may cost more upfront but will last longer.

    4. Prioritize Versatility

Think about how each potential purchase fits into your current wardrobe. Can you wear it multiple ways? Will it work for different occasions? Versatile pieces are the foundation of a timeless, capsule wardrobe.

Pro Tip: Try to pair any new item with at least three outfits you already own before committing to buy.

    5. Check the Fabric and Fit

Not all clothes are created equal. Pay attention to the material, stitching, and overall quality of the garment. Try it on to ensure it fits well and complements your body shape. A good fit can make even the simplest outfit look luxurious.

Pro Tip: If you’re shopping online, always check the sizing guide and reviews for fit recommendations.

    6. Ask Yourself, “Do I Love It?”

Impulse buys are often a result of our desire for instant gratification. Before making a purchase, pause and ask yourself: Do I really love this piece? Will I still want to wear it a year from now? If the answer isn’t a resounding yes, put it back.

Pro Tip: Wait 24 hours before making a big purchase. If you’re still thinking about it the next day, it might be worth it.

  • How to Look High-End on a Budget

How to Look High-End on a Budget

Affordable Fashion Tips for Women Who Want to Effortless Elegance Without Breaking the Bank

Let’s face it: we’ve all been there. Standing in front of the mirror, wearing the latest “fast-fashion” outfit you snagged online, only to feel like it’s screaming, “I got this on sale.” It’s frustrating, ain’t it? You want to feel confident and stylish, but finding high-end looks within your budget can feel like searching for a needle in a haystack. You don’t just want to look good; you want to FEEL good—without the fear of looking “cheap” or out of touch with today’s fashion trends.

The good news? It’s absolutely possible to look like a high-end without spending a bag ($1000 USD). You don’t need a designer budget to turn heads—you just need the right strategy. Let’s dive into some tried-and-true affordable fashion tips to elevate your style to look high-end on a budget.

    1. Invest in Timeless Staples

High-end fashion isn’t about chasing every trend; it’s about having a curated wardrobe of timeless pieces. Think a well-fitted blazer, classic white button-down, tailored trousers, or a little black dress. These staples are the foundation of a chic wardrobe and can be dressed up or down. Bonus tip: opt for neutral colors like black, white, beige, and navy—they always look sophisticated. Grab you free wardrobe staples checklist HERE.

    2. Pay Attention to Fabrics

Nothing screams luxury like quality fabrics. When shopping, feel the material. Look for cotton, linen, silk blends, or even high-quality faux leather instead of polyester or shiny synthetic materials that can cheapen (I think I made that word up) your look. You’ll be surprised at how elevating your fabric choices can make your outfit appear far more expensive.

    3. Accessorize Like a Pro

Accessories are the G.O.A.T. of high-end style. A structured handbag, sleek belt, or minimalistic jewelry can instantly elevate your look. Thrift stores and online second-hand retailers are goldmines for finding high-quality, affordable accessories.

    4. Tailoring Is Everything

Even the most expensive designer piece can look off if it doesn’t fit right. On the flip side, a $20 dress can look custom-made with a little tailoring. Find a reliable tailor and watch your wardrobe transform into a collection of bespoke pieces that fit like a glove.

    5. Master the Art of Monochrome

Wearing one color from head to toe creates an effortlessly chic look. Monochrome outfits—especially in neutrals—exude sophistication and elongate your silhouette. This simple trick works wonders and is easy to pull off, even on a budget.

    6. Shop Smart (and Strategically)

Sign up for alerts from your favorite brands to snag deals and discounts. Don’t shy away from thrifting or renting clothes for special occasions. Platforms like “Covered in Luxe” style boxes are perfect for curating a high-end look without the hefty price tag. And when you do shop, prioritize quality over quantity. One well-made blazer is worth more than five poorly constructed tops that will fall apart after a few washes.

    7. Confidence Is Key

No matter how much you spend on your outfit, the ultimate accessory is confidence. Stand tall, smile, and own your look. Remember: true style isn’t about the price tag; it’s about how you carry yourself.

    The Bottom Line

Looking high-end doesn’t have to mean spending a fortune. By investing in timeless staples, focusing on quality, and mastering a few styling tricks, you can create a wardrobe that’s equal parts elegant and budget-friendly. You deserve to look and feel amazing, no matter your budget—and now you have the tools to make it happen.
